Now I just need to send Jeffrey his $25 when I find out how. I promptly went to my account and sent them off and within a few hours I got an email that I had earned an extra $10 from the referral. Now half will go to Jeffrey, but that $5 was the easiest money I've ever earned in my life! This is my birthday trip account so that makes it even better! I added $9 to my challenge money today. My mother returned a sweater that she'd gotten me for Christmas and gave me the cash instead so I added it to the challenge money. Total in the challenge fund is now $88.56. $25 Amazon CertificateDecember 8th, 2006 at 12:53 pmI got a $25 Amazon certificate in the mail yesterday. My Chase card (that I just paid off) is an Amazon Awards card and since I charged all the Christmas gifts to it I wracked up enough points to get the certificate. The ING invite arrived today and I opened my account. There was no minimum required so I just matched the free $25. It's a start. I just love the ING site. Orange is my favorite color so it's a very attractive site to me. LOL! I let the invite gather no dust. What to do with a Raise?October 18th, 2006 at 10:33 amAt the beginning of the year I'll be getting a cost of living raise plus a merit raise. It is going to amount to $38.67 more each paycheck (bi-weekly). I've been debating what to do with this raise. I would love to apply it all to debt, but I'm thinking that I really should put it towards my clothing category since it is notoriously underfunded and hence, clothing expense tends to go on the credit card. Right now it seems to make more sense to me to get my budget categories to a reasonable amount so that CC spending is limited and/or halted altogether. I have a couple of months to mull this over and make a decision, but I'm really leaning toward more for clothing.
