Pictures of DS's Bus-Damaged Car

Here are 2 pictures of the bus damage done to DS's car when the bus backed over him:

The guy that went and picked it up on his flatbed is pretty sure that the insurance adjustor will total it.

   Was there a police report done? I hope the school district's insurance doesn't give you a hard time. Poor kid. What a birthday " present"! If an insurance company gives you grief, don't cave. They always try to pay out the least amount possible.

   No police report was done. It happened on school grounds, so I dont' know if that makes a difference or not. So far, everyone has been very cooperative, except the bus garage owner. He wasn't too pleased yesterday to hear that it probably will be totaled.
   
   I don't think that I said that the bus driver is the wife of the pastor at the new church we've been going to for about 6 weeks! Ironic, huh? She is SO upset about all this. We all gave her a hug today and told her not to worry about it. It could have been so much worse.

   I still just can't believe that a school bus driver would back a bus up into a parking lot at the end of a school day. How can she not know there are going to be a lot of people leaving at that time of day? What if it had been a pedestrian walking behind the bus? Why would she take that chance just to yell at some dumb kid throwing a snowball? It is good that there were no injuries but she risked the life or safety of your son and every student on that bus because she lost her temper. That just boggles my mind. I don't think I could be as forgiving in this situation as you are.
