Oh, the Laundry!

I now wish I had taken a vacation day for today just so I could get the laundry done that college DS and DD brought home! My tiny little bathroom is flooded with piles of it at the moment. I did 2 loads when we got home last night but I'll bet there are at least 5 (probably more) loads still to do! You can barely walk through to get to the washer.

So I know what my evening will be spent doing. Not that I mind much. Since we got the new washer it's been heaven to put the clothes in and then not have to go sit on it every time it spins. Of course I don't get as much reading done now either though. LOL!

   Been there. DS used to bring home a bag from college labeled with levels on the bag--1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, naked (when full) or something like that. But he didn't get to come home often. DD is very independent on this and rarely lets me touch her laundry. I loved helping DS and now love not helping DD. I AM a little nuts.....

   Enjoy. I hate Laundry. I have a plaque that says Laundry You can run from it but you can't hide.

   Mine prefer to do their own. One loads beyond optimal cleaning capacity of the machine, but at least he does it himself. I would not mind doing it for them, though.

   My kids would do their own, but I won't let them. The washer is too new. ;-) They used to do their own all the time when we had the old one. You couldn't break that one any more than it already was no matter what you did!

   My 27 year old brought hers home for Thanksgiving too! She runs them and then my mom came over today and folded two loads. She is going home tomorrow with her two baskets of clean clothes!
