Reading a Book

October 25th, 2006 at 09:20 am

But what's new? I'm a librarian and I'm always reading a book. :-)

The book I'm reading now is Jane Bryant Quinn's Smart and Simple Financial Strategies for Busy People. I have already found some things that I don't agree with 100%, but there are some good tips in here. It seems to be geared more toward those that haven't given a thought to their finances yet. But if I come away with a few good pointers, it will be worth it.

I also have Personal Finance for Dummies in the reading pile.

Hello, fellow librarian. Smile I liked the Quinn book ok; at least she had a very simple explanation of what happens when you pay extra on an adjustable rate mortgage. The latest money-related book I've read was Limbo: blue-collar roots, white-collar dreams by Alfred Lubrano. I found it very interesting, because that's where I come from. I hope you keep posting about books as you read them. I miss Retire@50's book reports!
